JAA Resale Store

Merry Christmas everyone!

Just an update at the rescue.

Our drive to get volunteers to help renovate the double wide have not been successful.

Our Go Fund Me Campaign for our yearly liability insurance for volunteers is also struggling.

As a result we have thrown around a few ideas.  This is the one we are going to go with.  We wish this project  great success and hope it will bring in much needed funds to the rescue.  With that in mind, we would like to introduce the JAA Resale Store!

The JAA Resale Store Mission

The JAA Resale Store is to benefit the Justin Animal Alliance. We accept used houseware, small electronics, furniture and other donated items, then resell them at the JAA Resale Store located at the rescue. We are a 501(c)3 non profit and can provide tax receipts for all donations. The store is by appointment only and is not open to the general public without a prior confirmed appointment. To contact us for an appointment or to schedule a donation pick up please email us at or message us on our Facebook JAA Resale Store page or Open Group.

Animal Rescue Liability Insurance

It is time for the Justin Animal Alliance to pay for our yearly liability insurance. This is a hidden yearly operational expense that not many people think about.

This insurance is to provide liability insurance for the rescue in many capacities, including off site adoption events, as well as volunteers at the rescue. It is protection for all of the what if's that can happen in the world. We feel is it a crucial expense to the operation of the rescue.

If you have wanted to help homeless animals, but do not have the time, this is a great way to help make it possible so that others who have the time to help, can help.

Our goal is to have the fund to renew our insurance by the end of the year.  (December 31st)

Please help us with this yearly operational expense. We are a 501(c)3 so your donation is tax deductible. A contribution of any amount is appreciated.
Thank you!

Community Service Needed!

Community Service Needed

The Justin Animal Alliance is a nonprofit 501(c)3 Animal Welfare Organization that pulls dogs and cats from city shelter euthanasia lists. We house the animals on a 7 acre rescue. They need daily care.

We recently received the donation of a 1991 double wide mobile home.  We would like the assistance of Community Service to fix up the mobile home with the ultimate goal of housing an animal care provider.  The animal care provider would live in the house rent free in exchange for helping care for the animals who are available for adoption at the Justin Animal Alliance.

To achieve this goal we are in need of builders.  If you are an elections, plumbers, construction repair, welders etc. please contact us.  Community Service is 7 days a week.  Hours vary and are very flexible.

The following is a list of some of what is needed.  We would be grateful for any or all of the renovations needed for the double wide mobile home.

Siding repair
Floor repair
Roof inspection and repair if needed
Front and Back decks as we only have a temporary set of stairs
Painting of interior and exterior
Wire mesh installed under house to keep small animals out of insulation under house
Electric hook up
Water hook up
Septic hook up
Chain link fencing for a yard
Storage Shed to be used for the rescue to store pet taxi's, tools etc.
We know this is a very large and quite expensive list of repairs that are needed.  As stated earlier we would be most grateful if you could assist us with any or all of these items.

If you are interested in helping with this project please contact the Justin Animal Alliance at

Americorp Volunteer Day - May 10th, 2015

An Americorps group will be out at the rescue on Sunday, May 10th from 8am - 1pm. (Yay!!) We could really use some help from our regular volunteers to help "supervise" and direct the group. Please help us to help the animals!!

May 9th, 2015

The Justin Animal Alliance received a very nice email from Americorp which reads:
"It is with regret that I inform you that FEMA Corps Blue Team 3 has to cancel the service project we had scheduled with you this Sunday. The FEMA facility has been activated to potentially respond to the storms throughout Texas as well as the tornadoes in Oklahoma."

We understand completely and are grateful for their service to those in need.  We are praying the weather is kinder to everyone than expected.  If you were planing on attending this event you are welcome to come to the rescue as scheduled.  Thank you for your interest in helping the animals in our care.
